As many people will be aware Straffan Church has some major issues that require urgent attention. Following a recent and extensive survey it was determined that remedial and restorative works are needed to ensure the future integrity of the building. These works involve among other things substantial roof repairs and renovation of the valleys, gutters and downpipes. This will be a 7 figure project and presents a major challenge to the parish. It is obviously something we cannot do without fundraising and grant support. To that end we are launching the project on Saturday 16th May with a concert in Straffan Church at which the Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir will perform. There will be a presentation of the project on the night to an audience of parishioners, friends and invited guests. While there will be a fundraising element to this launch the main purpose will be to highlight the project as we start the journey to raise the necessary funds to ensure that this beautiful church which we hold in trust for the whole community will be there for generations to come.
